Housebroken? She’s crate and potty trained!

Story: Phoebe comes to us from a shelter in South Carolina. We are so happy to have her safe and sound in a foster home in the DC area now. Phoebe is a sweetie who loves people and gets along great with other dogs and puppies. She knows just how to get comfortable up on the couch with her humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Phoebe is just looking for someone to be her new best furend and we know that she will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. Like all dogs, Phoebe will need an adopter who is committed to setting her up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising her both mentally and physically. She will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive!

What my foster says: Phoebe is definitely fully house trained and slept in her crate without a peep last night — even took herself to bed! She’s working on her leash training and get distracted by squirrels and birds, but nothing out of the ordinary for an 8 month old pup. She appears to be medium energy. We took a 40 minute walk yesterday morning, and that plus some backyard fetch in the evening when she got the zoomies was enough exercise for her. She is motivated by praise and, although she likes to be around people, I would not classify her as a Velcro dog — she likes to wander around the house and explore on her own. She’s smart and will be a great dog for a family, couple, or single adult.

The fee to adopt Phoebe is $475. That covers the cost of all her vaccines, her spay, the collar she’s wearing, her transport to DC and her care in her foster home. She’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines.
